Sightline Command is a top down, turn based PVP war game played with a Leap Motion Hand Tracker and second monitor. Players can take up the role of a commander of either the human or alien army.

Unit Design

We chose to have large walking mechs as the human units to match the size of the aliens. With moodboards from the artist, I went away and sketched up some simple designs of the robots. I decided to spend some time planning how the robotic legs would move around themselves realistically.

With these in mind, I went into Blender to create initial models and armatures to ensure my designs would be able to work.

Game Rules

To win this game, players must destroy the enemy Operating Base, located across the map. Units are able to move a set amount each turn, depending on their faction and class. Each turn, every unit can Move, Attack, or Build.

All buildings share the same base rules. They all cost 10 material and have 5 health. The more buildings the player has, the more each new building will cost.

Barracks and Factories will raise the troop token limit and material production per round, respectively.

Defensive buildings automatically attack any enemy unit that ends its movement within one tile of the building.
